Working alongside his parents and siblings in a family-owned resort, marina and construction business, established in 1957, Don Scale learned the importance of open communication and work ethics in the service industry. It was also the foundation for his passion for “life on Georgian Bay”.
In 1985 Don and his wife Nancy opened their own family business in the service industry in Pointe au Baril Station. They soon established the building and maintenance company into a business with a reputation for high quality and attention to fine detail, which their clients learned to depend on throughout the years. As a testament, most of the business’ work has arisen from referrals by previous clients and architects, and they have frequently built more than one project for the same client.
In 2002 the company’s operating name was changed to Adamanda, in honour of Don and Nancy’s two children, Adam and Amanda.
Adamanda specializes in quality custom homes and cottages in Georgian Bay, offering the ultimate turnkey services. Some of our projects are well-known as being of the finest quality in the area. Adamanda is comprised of a team of carpenters, skilled craftsmen and dedicated office management. Some employees have been with us for over 20 years. We have also established a network of top, licensed sub-trades, including engineers, planners, stone masons, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, interior designers and decorators, and have worked with some of the finest architects that not only design with Georgian Bay in mind, but also understand Adamanda’s standards of exceptional quality and attention to detail.
Don and the Adamanda team are highly qualified and experienced, and are capable of handling any size of project, from estate-sized developments, to the smallest of tasks. We do not hesitate in going the extra mile to build the dream for our client.
